Sir Gerald Kaufman, Labour MP for Gorton, Manchester, has been appointed a Trustee of the Manchester Camerata Trust.
Sir Gerald has been a supporter of the orchestra for a number of years.
Speaking about the appointment, Michael Grindrod, Chairman of the Trust, said:
“We are delighted that Sir Gerald has accepted our invitation to join the Manchester Camerata Trust and so formalise the very good relationship we have had with him over the years. His experience will be of great benefit to us, and his presence on the Trust will greatly strengthen it in its work supporting the long-term future of the orchestra.”
