Forever Manchester, a fundraising campaign from the Manchester based charity, Community Foundation, is joining forces with local radio station Key 103 and nightclub the Warehouse Project to give away tickets to see former Stones Roses frontman Ian Brown at a special event tomorrow.
The charity is keen to raise awareness of its work, which focuses on supporting local unsung heroes who make a real difference to the lives of others by improving their local communities.
Forever Manchester is keen to hear what the people of Greater Manchester love about the city. Those who chip in with their views will be entered into an exclusive competition to win tickets to see Ian Brown at the Warehouse Project plus a one-night stay at the Malmaison hotel.
The competition is only open tomorrow – to enter, you need to visit the Key 103 media bus which will be parked up in Manchester’s Cathedral Gardens, near Urbis, between 10am and 4pm.
The Community Foundation is a grant-making charity, a non-profit organisation, which raises money from the private and public sectors and channels funds to grassroot community groups in the most disadvantaged areas of Greater Manchester.
In June, the foundation won the prestigious ‘Grantmaking’ award at the Charity Awards 2010 in recognition for its work, in particular its partnership with the Irwell Valley Golden Foundation.
