  1. John Levon says:

I don’t understand how to add the calendar?

  2. [...] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Phil Nash, Inside the M60. Inside the M60 said: Check out our new cultural calender for Manchester-if you have any events to publicise then let us know http://bit.ly/eGOW0J [...]

  3. insidethem60 says:

    Hi John,

At present we’re writing the listings and calendar ourselves. This is so we can control the content and not get the site too messy.

At present we’d like you to just e-mail your listings to us at the usual e-mail address. As soon as we’re up and running properly we might trust people to add (with a little stylesheet guidance)

Or we might build a form to aid contribution.

    Cheers

  4. John Levon says:

I don’t want to contribute, just add your calendar to my own on Google Calendar. You reference this above but don’t provide an iCAL link … cheers.

  5. insidethem60 says:

Fair point. You can add individual events by clicking the Google Calender link embedded into each listing. I will sort out a feed link shortly.

  6. John Levon says:

Thanks! Hope this calendar takes off – great idea…

  7. Andrew says:

Just putting in another vote for an iCal link. It’s fairly simple to do since you’re using Google Calendar. If you click the drop-down next to the calendar’s name in the list on the right, select “calendar settings”, go to the “share this calendar” tab and click “make this calendar public” it should work. The iCal link is then available in the previous tab. Just link to that URL from here. You can make a little ‘add to google calendar’ button somehow but I should think nobody who uses Google Calendar that way needs a button. Hovering over each page individually is a pain, especially when you have to scroll down to see the whole thing and most events are on every day.
